STAMP NINE
Cindy Maddera
Chris and I took Quinn to the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History last week so I could get my final stamp. Quinn is really into his dinosaur books these days (he calls them âsaurs) and since itâs a blazing 100° here we thought this would be good alternative to the zoo. Plus, he seemed really excited about going (even though heâd never been before) because he kept saying âChris âsaursâ? over and over again.
I was really excited about taking him to the dinosaur museum. I remember the first time we took JR and Thomas and it was hilarious. Thomas was not much bigger then Quinn is now and Iâll never forget the look on his face when he saw that first big dino-display. He came running back around the corner with his arms lifted and had to be carried through the rest of the exhibit. Quinn was the same. Chris and I each had a hold on one of his hands and when we came to the first display we felt a tremor run through his little body. He stopped dead in his tracks and wouldnât budge. I leaned down and asked him if he wanted me to carry him and he nodded his little head yes and thatâs how we viewed the dinosaur exhibit. We all had a really nice time. Quinn had such a good time that he didnât want to leave. We left the museum to the woeful sounds of him crying ââsaursâ¦âsaursâ¦âs a u r sâ?.
So, thatâs it. Thatâs the final stamp. Chris mailed my passport in last night. We just have to keep our fingers crossed. The drawing is in September. Come on party barge!
